Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
Refrain:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There is light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!
Refrain:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us sin no more hath dominion
For more than conquerors we are!
His Word shall not fail you He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!

God's Shepherd
The Prince of Peace
Problems come on all of us,
Conflict and sickness, each day so unsure.
Amazing love and grace,
God's Holy Word to help us all endure.
Just put your trust in Jesus,
He will fill your heart and mind with peace,
Cleanse and make you pure.
Be my strong refuge, to which I may resort continually;
You have given the commandment to save me.
Psalm 71:3
CHaNgE Me
Dear Lord change not Thy will in my life,
Or trial and sorrows to be;
Renew my faith and make me strong,
Change not Thy will, change me.
Though teardrops fall when trouble comes,
Like storms on a rolling sea;
Let Thy beacon guide my ship to port,
Change not the storm, change me.
When Thy Holy Word I don't understand
And Thy glory I cannot see;
Teach my eyes, give me sight and wisdom,
Change not Thy Word, change me.
If the fruit Thou hast given me to eat,
Taste bitter and sour, I plea;
Let not my will but Thine be done,
Change not the fruit, change me.
If sometime I murmur and grumble, dear Lord,
About the cross I carry for Thee;
Keep it firm on my shoulders, but hold my hand,
Change not the cross, change me.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on
well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
Chasing Rainbows
If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you
And share with you its beauty
On the days you're feeling blue
If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own
A place to find serenity
A place to be alone
If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea
But all these things, I'm finding,
Are impossible for me
I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair
But let me be what I know best
A friend that's always there

Psalm 59:16
But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning, For You have been my stronghold and a refuge in the day of my distress.

Psalm 94:19
When anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought joy to my soul.
There is Hope for those suffering from depression and anxiety. Our Gracious, Loving, Everpresent God brought me through some very dark days. i never thought that i (smiling, cheerful, brave, funny me) would suffer so from sadness and fearfulness. i could never understand how someone could not want to get up out of bed or open the blinds and let the sunshine in or read a book or look at a magazine or watch funny shows or answer the phone or drive a car. Yeah, well i sure found out. i experienced abuse, a broken heart, depression, anxiety, agoraphobia, and heart failure.
It was possible for me and the most wonderful thing about it all is - it was and still is possible for my Loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to carry me through it all.
Nestled safely in His Merciful Arms, He brought me through with great kindness and grace and dusted me off and on the outside i may look worse for wear but oh, on the inside He has performed a miracle of transforming beauty. i feel the beauty of the Lord's Mercy and Grace.
"He must become greater; I must become less." John 3:30 (NIV)
i am so thankful. My life is so full of blessings!
Below i am sharing some of my terrible painful thoughts i experienced hoping that someone may be helped through realizing that there is Hope, Mercy, Love, Kindness and Saving Grace in Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Psalm 3:3-5
3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
You can have joy again! God's promises are true!

Gossip
You think you know
How I feel
But all you know
Is not real
You act so smug and seem so sure
The spreading gossip I'll endure
For your pride will overload
Those who hear will not be snowed.
The Beast Man
Well look who's up
and gone again !
My own true love -
he's my best friend? Ha!
I know- how sad-
it's such a joke.
I kept believing
the lies he spoke.
Forgive me for my whining cries
The pain is so deep from so many lies.

Darkness rolled in today.
Warm, humid darkness
Heavy, stifleling gloom
shadowed right across
the smile of the flowers.
Darkness faded the color
right off the bloom.
Perky stems shrivled to limp.
Green leaves to brown,barren.
eyes clouded
tears unflowing
thoughts erratic
feelings unknowing
pain unshowing
Hiding in my room, safe within my womb,
I touch no one and no one touches me.
I am a rock,
I am an island.
And a rock feels no pain;
And an island never cries.
Paul Simon
From song "I Am a Rock"

Call on God, but row away from the rocks. Indian Proverb

Confusion
The answers are here in the depths of my mind.
The questions are so hard for me to find.
The game is of matching one with the other.
My mind races on and most times says don't bother.
Now back to the beginning,
The answer is there.
But what was the question?
It's hidden somewhere.

At Last The Sun
Today the sun is shining brightly.
This always lifts moods some.
I am not taking this day lightly.
The air is fresh-spring has come.
Worry over the past is such a waste.
It only causes more pain.
The past was cold and dreary-now
I feel spring, if only a taste.
Tomorrow is unsure, this I know.
It's not mine to choose.
Today is here to enjoy the show-
This beauty given us to use.
Look at the precious gifts God gives.
Today is a special one.
Yesterday-whatever it may have been.
The light comes after dark-see how God lives!
Praise From The Pit To The Rock!
Psalm 40:1-3
I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the desolate pit, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.
Psalm 94:19
When my anxious thoughts multiply within me,Your consolations delight my soul.
Psalm 139:23
Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts;

Thy Word, Oh Lord, is a lamp to guide me,
To keep me from going astray.
Thy Word lights my path through the darkness,
Making night appear bright as the day.
Temptations may entice me to wander,
I might be encouraged to roam.
Thy Word, Oh Lord, is a beacon
Lovingly guiding me home.

Please Don't Pity Me
Don't look at me with pity,
I am happy as can be.
Don't frown and look so sorry
My God is blessing me.
You may think I am suffering,
But there was so much pain before.
Now I am so content in Him
I am smiling so much more.
My Father gives me all I need
His strength shows when I am weak.
For in His Love and Mercy
He sent His Son to be
The Good Shepherd for His
Wandering sheep,
Forever guiding me.
So don't look at me so sadly
I am living gloriously.
For I know The Good Shepherd's voice
And He is always calling me.
My Shepherd is my Savior.
God sent His Only Son.
Now don't look at me with pity
I am living victoriously.
For Jesus Christ God's only Son
Won the battle and set me free.
